Family Dog Mediation

As a Licensed Family Dog Mediator (LFDM), my goal is to facilitate deeper understanding and communication between dogs and their guardians. Family Dog Mediation, developed by Kim Brophey, is rooted in applied ethology, the scientific study of behavior and welfare in domestic and captive animals. It helps us understand the natural instincts and needs of our pet dogs, so we can care for them in a way that improves their overall wellbeing.

In mediation sessions, Souly Dog assesses and supports each dog by applying the L.E.G.S.® model, which identifies four key influences on a dog’s behavior:

  • Learning – Past experiences and what the dog has been taught

  • Environment – The dog’s home, surroundings, and lifestyle

  • Genetics – Breed tendencies and inherited traits

  • Self – The dog’s individual personality, age, and health

The L.E.G.S.® framework will help reveal the truth about your dog, so you can begin a journey toward authentic understanding and connection. I encourage you to check out the links below to dive deeper into this life-changing approach, and schedule a Free Introductory Connection Call if you're ready to take the first step!
